A Little Bit of Chicken Humor...
  • Rotisserie: a Ferris wheel for chickens.
  • A farmer cross-bred some chickens so that they would have six legs in order to triple the number of drumsticks.  Only problem is, no one has been able to catch one of them so we don't know how the drumsticks will taste.
  • A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion.

Sometimes it DOES take a Rocket Scientist

Scientists at NASA built a gun specifically to launch dead chickens at the windshields of airliners, military jets and the space shuttle, all traveling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields.
British engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the windshields of their new high speed trains.
Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the British engineers. When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurtled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer's backrest in two and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin, like an arrow shot from a bow.
The horrified Brits sent NASA the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield, and begged the US scientists for suggestions.
NASA responded with a one-line memo:
    "Thaw the chicken."

Did You Know?

It is possible to hypnotize a chicken?

(Why anyone would want to do so is beyond us, but Cecil Adams for TheStraightDope.com (one of our favorite Web sites) wrote an interesting article about this.  See:  http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_012.html

Raised Right Chicken
Raised Right is an all-natural chicken, fed pure corn and soybeans and absolutely no antibiotics, animal byproducts or hormones. This gives it an old-fashioned taste--"like grandma used to make" because it doesn't have all those artificial ingredients.  Raised Right is headquartered in College Hill, PA, and has become the chicken of choice for a number of upscale restaurants. In fact, it is the brand used by the acclaimed Culinary Institute of America and was featured in this past year's Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog. See their site for some great chicken recipes!
