The Yurt pictured above, is available for rent
at Clear Creek
State Park in western PA (just outside of Brookville,
PA.) It sleeps four - with two bunk beds, a full-size stove and refrigerator, and a
nice dining area with a table and chairs. It was like the best of both
worlds - the warmth and shelter of a motel, but the ruggedness of camping as
there are no restroom facilities or running water in the yurt. The
running water is from a pump outside and the restrooms are a short walk
away. We
stayed in the yurt in November and we enjoyed the experience so much that we rent one
whenever we can!
